The view is great, as you may see in the photos; the staff was very attentive; the rooms were spacious and clean; the common areas were very large and we could find spots just to ourselves; having a kitchen is a great asset since we like to cook from time to time...
Just be aware that you will need a car because the villa is located in a steep hill and walking will be hard.

Tourlos is pretty much just the port so v v busy either ferries and most days 3 or 4 cruise ships as well. Doesn’t have a village feel the hotel is on a very busy main road with no pavement so you can’t really walk along to explore.

Definitely the magnificent views and the friendliness of the people. We were told that food and drinks were expensive. But there are plenty of restaurants that had more reasonable prices. To get the most of our trip there, we rented an auto so we can travel to other beaches to avoid the strong winds. There are also less expensive vehicles to rent like ATV, motorcycles, and vespas.

Tourlos is at the best a suburb of Mykonos, and we didn't see anything special; The place is in a few kilometers distance from Mykonos center. To get there on foot, make sure you have good knees and ankles. Shopping food and specially water is not straight forward around the area. Specially carrying water , if you do no have a car, it would be tiresome. The tab water is only usable for taking shower. The hostess was kind enough to leave a bottle of water for drinking to start with.

Tourlos is certainly a less expensive alternative to Mykonos Old Town---as a hotel location---while proving easy and inexpensive access (€2/passenger with the Sea Bus) to the Mykonos Old Town. The island of Mykonos is ,however,---as a preferred party island for especially the younger visitors---not my preferred Greek Island, for exploring historic sites or even enjoying places with a unique volcanic history and topography (like Santorini)....

Tourlos is definitely a great reference point for exploring the island of Mykonos. The hotel prices are reasonabe when compared with those in Mykonos town, and also in comparison to the hotels in the vicinity of the popular beaches in the South of the island. And, should you arrive or depart from the New Port of Mykonos to any of the other islands, your hotels are mostly in walking distance to the departure/arrival point of the New Port.
And, the airport is also reasonably close, so that most hotels are offering a free shuttle service upon your arrival at Mykonos Airport.
I would definitely come back to Tourlos, and even to the same hotel, based on my pleasant experiences with the hotel operators.

Mykonos is a beach and book place
Mykonos town is lovely .. Loads of small shop plenty to choose from eating and drinking
Other than that !! You make it what it is
Plenty cruise liner come and go
The island sure lived up to its name
Island of winds
All of the staff members were really nice, especially our cleaning lady. Semina was great about giving us recommendations and was very responsive to questions about the town. The rooms were spotless upon arrival. It felt like a relatively safe and quiet area. Close to the ferry port. Also close to the boat ferry if that is the preferred transportation into town- we never tried it. There were a few stores and restaurants within walking distance. The AC worked well to cool down the room. There was a fridge in the room and a large balcony.
My boyfriend and I stayed in Avra for 3 nights and could not fault anything.
Maria was a wonderfully helpful host, and everything was super clean, not to mention the view at breakfast is beautiful.
The location was great for us, as it was close to the new port (for ferry to Santorini), and a 15-20min walk to the old town (although caution advised walking along the main road at night as there is not a foot path).
Maria helped us to rent an ATV and we were able to park at the hotel and easily explore the island.
The VIEW! The property is AMAZING! The view of Mykonos is stunning; it is the best place to stay. We travelled with our kids, and they had the best moments there. Our house was fully equipped, and we loved preparing breakfast every morning! We can't wait to come back. Linda is the best host ever! It's a hotel, but everyone has their privacy, and we feel that we are at our own home. It's our place in Mykonos, we miss it so much already!
The hotel is about a 3 minute drive from the port if so much and there are two restaurants a few minutes walk away from it. Accessing Little Venice is super convenient by taking a small ferry over. It was also relaxing to lay by the pool at the hotel and having pizza and beers. The room was more spacious than I expected. I think what set Rhenia aside was how welcoming the owner was and how attentive all the staff were.
Everything ! We can’t fault anything g in our stay , as soon as the staff knew we were in our honeymoon , they have upgraded us. The staff were incredible and the service was beyond exceptional, a specific staff member ( Paris) was amazing ! We give him 20/10 when it comes to customer service. We would definitely recommend the hotel and we would be there again without a doubt
We spent 3 nights at the Rhenia in Mykonos and so enjoyed our time. The location worked well for us., while out of the main part of the town the easy ferry system made it quite accessible. Our room had an amazing view of the port and was quite comfortable. The best part of our stay was the kind staff and family that runs this charming hotel.
1. Excellent location with a view of the sea and sunset. The hotel is located around 3 km from Hora which is the city center.
2. The facility is good for a family or young couple. Big king size beds and the bathrooms were beautiful.
3. Accessibility to restaurants and supermarkets was good.
4. The staff was very helpful and accommodating..
Everything was amazing! The team was amazing with everything! It was really a pleasure to stay in Olia Hotel. The breakfast was amazing. They arranged some gluten free bread and some rice milk. All staff was fabulous..in the reception..in the breakfast.
Our stay at the hotel was an absolute delight! The cleanliness left us impressed, and the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, with Nikolas standing out as an exceptionally helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
kalypso gave us good tips for activities and was very accommodating. The staff were all very friendly and the rooms beautiful! I can only recommend this hotel! thanks again for everything! 💗
Hotel owners were very accommodating we were able to check out late and they were very flexible to drive us downtown. The room and the swimming pool were very nice too ! Lovely stay
The hotel is just 25 mins walk from the central city of mykonos!
The host is so helpful.
The price is so fair for such a very clean room and a very good service!
Much recommended!
Amazing family run hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. Rooms were great and clean!
It is also located near the seabus which takes you to the old town.
Thanks to Eleni!
The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel is located in a convenient place near the main road and the beach. The transfert from the airport was well organized.
The reliable, free airport/ port transfer service. The people working there were super friendly. The Sea Bus to Mykonos time is just in front of the hotel.
