Quaint hotel with a lovely atmosphere. Rooms were old fashioned but spotless. Bathroom was sparkling. Everything you needed was provided in the room including biscuits for your tea. Didn’t eat in the bar but breakfast included was nice. Staff were really lovely. Very central as it’s on the Main Street. Would definitely stay here again. Don’t let the 2 stars put you off.

We were looking for a remote, but not too remote, location. And we found it in Dunmore House. The beach walks and trails are perfect, or just sitting by to watch the tides. The host was beyond anyone's expectation, especially for a hotel this size. The in-house restaurant serves some of the best meals we had in Ireland, most were fresh from their gardens on site. Spend a night, spend a week, you'll be rejuvenated in more ways than you can count.
In the heart of Clonakilty, this luxury hotel has a leisure center with an indoor pool, sauna and steam room. With a modern restaurant and bar, the beautiful coastline is just 10 minutes away by car....

Hotel was absolutely spotless . The beds were exceptional comfortable and also the pillows , the location of the hotel is so handy for everything, the staff were lovely , the added surprise of the library ,the quirkiness of the room with the coloured lockers, the nice wallpaper and the added little extras on the tea tray. I loved that they had an actual key rather then a key card and it felt very personal. When I hung the do not disturb sign on my door I found fresh towels , shampoo , soap and toilet roll outside the door later on . It was a lovely hotel stay overall.
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa has twice been awarded ‘Ireland's Leading Spa Resort’.

Breakfast was 5 star and amazing choice, and the view of the sea great. Also little thoughtful gestures, like chocolates on my pillow before I went to bed, and the invoice discreetly put under door, early morning before I got to check in were appreciated.

Quaint little cottages built in the backyard of someone’s home. They are glamping pods and have a nice yard outside to sit and enjoy the skies and coffee. Views of the farm around are spectacular.

Rooms were very nice. Breakfast was fantastic! Cait and Dennis were very friendly and provided excellent service!! Street parking only was a slight negative, but we were able to find close spots daily.
I was there to attend a wedding. I did not take a car so I did not see much of Clonakilty itself. I think a car is necessary as it is just outside Clonakilty. I did see the sea and beaches from the taxi and they looked nice.

Fab little town, everything is so close together.
Fab little town, everything is so close together. Really wished we'd stayed longer & are already planning a return in the Summer. Didn't eat in any of the restaurants as we only ate in the hotel but the menus of many of the eateries looked great!

Lovely quaint old world charm town.
Lovely quaint old world charm town. Very colourful and clean. Great selection of shops and information of things to see and do in the area. Take the train for a tour around the town for all ages. Lovely location as a base for exploring deeper into west Cork or just relaxing in one of the many beaches in the area. If you get the weather there is no place to beat this part of Ireland.

Love the town.
Love the town. Lots of nice shops, bars, restaurants, cafés and little markets unique to the town and excellent just to browse around. Lots of little cafés, outdoor seating and well spaced public seats where one can sit and watch the world go by. The locals seem very friendly as do the staff in all the shops we visited. Seem to really take care of their visitors. Town is perfect to stroll around, very clean and brightly well decorated shops.
Public toilet centrally located but unfortunately required coins to operate. These days, many people do not carry coins anymore!
One way traffic system through the main street area - not too busy but could be nicer if pedestrianised.
What a lovely hotel set in stunning surroundings overlooking the bay, staff food and everything quality. When im working in Cork i would normally stay in a hotel in the town centre but they have got seriously expensive, this is where the Dunmore House Hotel comes into its element as you get a fantastic hotel with the personal touch in a stunning location at a cost less that you will pay in the town centre, well worth the extra few miles to drive
Denis (who ran the restaurant and bar) was outstanding: he even got up very early to open the breakfast room and provide food and drink to us and other guests who needed breakfast at 6:30 in the morning. He was also very helpful with local information. Location was central to the town, so everything was walkable. Parking (on the street) was nearby.
Rooms were great, it was for my daughters birthday, she did expect the Savoy! the beds were very comfortable and having two rooms was perfect. Breakfast was extra, but was excellent, with nice service. Used the swimming pool which was a bit cold, but it was very cold weather. Good proximity from the town. Good stay. Used the cinema the next day.
As a first time visitor, it was a delight to find the hotel after a day rambling around West Cork. From the lovely receptionists to greet us, to discovering the beautiful gardens and then to enjoying the high quality food, it was first class all the way . One of the best hotels I have stayed in, either in Ireland or abroad.
Ardnavaha House is an excellent property located in beautiful countryside outside of Clonakilty. Our apartment was very good with all expected facilities, which was much appreciated. Location was excellent to access Kinsale and surrounding area, with great beach walks around Clonakilty. Gerard and Ann were great hosts.
Really loved how they have decorated the pods and the outside area, so cute! Great facilities in the pod, its more like a mini apartment with a little kitchenette and a good size private bathroom. Bed was comfy and there was a nice area to sit outside as well. Lovely warm welcome from the host too!
An absolute gem! Perfect location, very private yet super close to Clonakilty. Spotlessly clean. Very cosy. Sarah Jane was amazing and had all little touches throughout the property including a welcome package with local produce. We already can’t wait to come back and stay again!
The property is beautiful and a great location relative to the many bars and restaurants of Clonakilty. The staff were all exceedingly friendly and helpful and nothing was too much bother. We will visit Clonakilty again and would not hesitate to book The Emmet Hotel. Superb!!
All the staff are warm and welcoming, rooms lovely, everything fresh and clean. Location is absolutely perfect to explore Clonakilty and wider West Cork. All the memorabilia from local history around the hotel was great. Food was lovely. All in all lovely stay - would go back.
only 5 mins from the centre, the house is beautiful and very tidy. homie and clean.
Bernie and Dermott are very friendly. we got stuck in the wedding’s hotel and Bernie collected us. it was very important to us. she didn’t need to do it but she did. we are very grateful!!
The location of this hotel is superb, Inchydowney beach which is directly accessed is one of the most beautiful in Ireland and all rooms face out to the sea, the staff are welcoming and friendly, the pool and spa are exceptional, it is just a fabulous spot.
Joan was very friendly, accommodating and a great host. We had a wedding in Dunmore House Hotel which is about a 3 minute drive so location was ideal. Not en-suite but shared bathroom just next door. Very reasonable rate and ideal for what we needed.
The hotel is right in the heart of Clonakilty and is very comfortable and old-fashioned ( in a good way). The staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed midweek and the rate was surprisingly affordable.
The hotel is nicely done in the main areas. The pool is quite large, even if half of it was used for swimming lessons at the time we were there, The restaurant is a good option to have dinner too.
Fabulous spot in West Cork. Ideal for Long Strand, Clonakilty, Kilbrittain, Castlefreke. Comfortable bed and tremendous rainforest shower. We will be back especially to see Coco the dog.
