It would have been difficult to have been treated better and almost impossible to find a more relaxing location with breathtaking views. The hosts were perfect; available on the phone at any time and quick to respond to any messages. The accommodation was ideal for our needs and indeed we have taken away a good few ideas for a property we are renovating (thank you Meli). We stayed for four nights and wish it had been longer; the area is one of truly astounding natural beauty and is the perfect location to unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet. The village itself is very pretty and the locals equally welcoming and happy to chat. One can walk from the property to local restaurants which provide wholesome economical food and a warm welcome. We have lived in a very beautiful part of the Mediterranean Coast of Spain for over 20 years in one of the most scenic valleys imaginable, or at least we thought so until we came to sample the delights of this gorgeous village in the Cantabrian mountains with fields of freely roaming livestock all around and the backdrop of awe inspiring mountains with free flowing rivers and streams with pretty cascading falls all within pretty easy walking distance, albeit up and down hill. Parking was super simple in a private spot right beside the property, but not such that your car blocks the view. We visited the coast whilst we were there which is around 40 minutes by car through sensibly wide mountain roads (windy, but easy to drive) and also took a trip to Bilbao to see the Guggenheim (just over an hour), but it was lovely to pop to the local "supermarket" (corner shop) and buy some bits to enjoy a picnic.

En busca del viento del norte is located in Santillana del Mar and offers a garden and a terrace. The Colegiata Santillana del Mar Church is within 1.7 km of the apartment, and free WiFi is provided. great location, very homely feel & well provisioned. The house also smelt great!

Aliezo 내에 자리한 Casa Llayo에서 머물러보시기 바랍니다. 숙소는 산토 토리비오 데 리에바나 수도원에서 6.6km 거리에 있으며, 정원, 무료 Wi-Fi, 24시간 프런트 데스크 등을 갖추고 있습니다. 투숙객은 무료 전용 주차장을 이용할 수 있으며, 홀리데이 홈의 주변 지역에서 하이킹, 스키, 사이클링 등의 레저 활동을 즐길 수 있습니다. If you enjoy being on a quiet place surrounded by nature, this is your place. It's secluded enough feel in the outdoors but driving distance (10min) to get anywhere. Casa Llayo has everything you need to enjoy a nice stay, be aware that arriving there the first time can be tricky (don't be discouraged by that; is well worth it) but after that it gets easier. Hosts live close by and give you a great welcome to show you the house and point everything that you will need. The house was super clean and has all amenities. This is a great spot to visit many places around Picos de Europa, we did a couple of tours in various directions and Potes is just 8min drive from the house. The hosts shared with us some home made wine (delicious), it has a nice bbq on the patio (charcoal and wood provided) and we used it a couple of times. Enjoying the morning coffee outside was a daily pleasure.
